“My objective?  I capture the essence of your wedding in an authentic way. My goal is to capture moments. I shoot according to what the client wants. If you want only editorial shots, we can do that. If you want me to just do my thing, you get a mix of editorial, reportage, and documentary. If you’re looking for a photographer to capture conveyor-belt-type portraits, then I’m probably not the photographer you’re looking for.

I love realism and details and have always tried to incorporate this aspect into my photography. My high school art teacher (Spies Venter) instilled a passion for photography in me, and as a result, I’ve pursued studies in professional photography, specializing in photojournalism and portraiture.

Gavin Casey has been my mentor and has introduced me to the wedding industry. I’ve been fortunate enough to have been given the absolutely mind-blowing opportunity to work for and learn from an amazing photographer and person!

Prior to working with Gavin, my career consisted of shooting high-profile events, intimate portraiture, and the odd wedding here and there. We have shot some of the most beautiful weddings in South Africa together, and I am eternally grateful that we’ve crossed paths. What I’ve learned from Gavin has elevated my work far beyond what I could have hoped to achieve on my own. Gavin has a brilliant mind. Those who know him truly understand this.

My objective in photography was always to shoot weddings. And if my plan was to shoot weddings to the best of my ability, then I would begin by shooting in the most challenging environments. I can honestly say that I have shot in some of the world’s most challenging environments. I have an e.n.o.r.m.o.u.s. amount of real-world documentary photography experience.
